Afraid Of Commitment??? You WON’T Be After THIS!
Think of times in your life when quitting was just NOT an option....you simply refused to see the downside, because you were SO focused on finding solutions – and THAT level of commitment leads to success!
Are you totally committed to the truly important things in your life? There’s a quick test to find out… and I’ll get to that in a minute.
You see, to succeed in anything – excelling in your business or career, paying off your debt, nurturing your finances, marriage and family, traveling, helping orphans – commitment is a requirement. Success demands commitment. If you aren’t committed, you will never succeed.
When people are not committed, it shows. People often fail to commit to their business. Sure, they might be committed for a little while, but as soon as they run into some trouble, they quit. Others have a dream to feed orphans or supply clean water to the poor in other countries. Yet, months go by and they’ve done nothing to either give their time and money… or even to spread the message about that need.
A lot of people say they want to do something, but more often than not, they just don’t do what they say they will.
Now, a quick test to determine whether or not you are committed: Do you complain? Complaining shows you are not committed. It shows you’re not “all in.”
Truthfully, if you are not “all in” for your business success, other people around you know it – especially your prospects, customers and coworkers. So think about it. Why on earth would they follow you, if they know you’re not committed? They won’t – because they know you will eventually quit!
If you’re not committed in your marriage, you probably complain (a lot) about your spouse. If you complain about your spouse, it shows you have already taken one step – in the wrong direction – toward quitting your marriage.
It’s the same with your kids. When you fully commit to being the best parent possible, complaining is not an option. Success is the only option. You FIND solutions to handle those very challenging times, from those toddlers years all the way through their teens, in everything from doing homework to keeping their rooms clean.
If you are not committed in your job, you complain about your boss, your coworkers and the work you have to do… the FIRST sign of no commitment! And a lack of commitment will never lead to success.
With no commitment, there is no ownership. Where there is no ownership, there is no success. Period, end of story.
So, if you’re committed in your business, you don’t complain about customers who won’t buy or your employees or distributors. You find solutions. You track your results and improve yourself and your business model. You learn the skills you must learn to succeed. And, THAT is a committed person.
But someone who is not committed, simply complains until they “sell” themselves on quitting. Do you understand complaining is a form of sales? It’s selling yourself, and others, making a case against the very thing you said you wanted.
You’ve got to STOP complaining and start finding solutions. Solutions are all around you… right in front of you. Even here at DaniJohnson.com, we have solutions for everything I just mentioned.
And here’s the thing about solutions: They may cost you money and time. Why? Because if it doesn’t cost you something, it has no value to you. And if it has no value to you, you will not implement those important solutions. But when you put skin in the game and make an investment of time or money learning the skills you need to implement the solutions to bring you success, THEN you are “all in.”
I bet you can think of times in your life when quitting was absolutely not an option. Think of times when you never allowed your mind to even entertain the thought of quitting. You refused to see the downside, because you were so focused on finding solutions.
Bottom line, you will either think about solutions, or think about complaining. But only one will lead to success in your business, career, family, finances and life. So keep focusing on solutions and shut the door on the complaints just waiting to come out of your mouth.
