  • What to Bring

    • Layered clothing based on each day’s dress code. Temperatures in the ballroom can vary drastically, and you’ll want to be comfortable.
    • A notebook and extra pens. We do recommend a notebook over a laptop for taking notes. Space is a little tight, and laptops offer distractions you want to steer clear of to get the most out of your weekend!
    • A water bottle and healthy snacks. Many attendees also pack food they can keep in their hotel rooms for meals, or make grocery runs when they get into town. This can help you save time and money on meals while you’re at the event.
    • A camera. You’ll be meeting people from all over the world and creating lots of new relationships and memories.
    • Your basic travel necessities. Of course you’ll want to bring your toiletries, phone charger, clothes to sleep in, etc.

You can download our packing list pdf for a full list right here.

*This page is tentative. Need to brainstorm with Laureen and find out if we actually have a packing list.

    • Like to get a seat up front? You can get into the ballroom 15 minutes before general seating doors open by grabbing a FAST TRACK pass. You can upgrade right here.
    • To simplify and expedite your registration process, we recommend you arrive early to register on Thursday evening (registration starts at 6:00 PM).
    • Registration is located at the hotel. Please check with the Concierge or Front Desk for details. See Event Schedule for times.
    • Keep in mind, many people spend the night IN LINE on Thursday evening to ensure they get a good seat inside First Steps To Success™, so don’t be surprised by the LONG LINE at the General Seating doors when you arrive on Friday morning. That’s why getting FAST TRACK is so great!
    • Entry into the event is first-come, first-served. While you are waiting in line for doors to open, you may “buddy-up” if you wish and save one spot in line for your line buddy. Please honor your friends, co-workers and other attendees by saving only ONE spot in line. You and your line buddy must both be in line when the doors open. There is no saving seats allowed in the Ballroom.
    • Please bring your payment receipt to avoid mix-ups at registration.
    • Hundreds of organizations send their staff and other representatives to First Steps To Success™ to learn new strategies and accelerate their personal and professional lives. We strictly enforce a zero-tolerance ethics policy at all DaniJohnson.com events to create a safe environment for learning and sharing, without being recruited or sold. To honor your fellow attendees, please do not bring product samples, brochures, logoed items, etc. from your company or you will be asked to leave the seminar immediately!
    • Oh yeah – bring a camera! You’ll meet people from all over the world and make lasting relationships with memorable moments happening all weekend! Note however, that video cameras and audio equipment are not permitted inside the Ballroom.
    • This is not a daycare center – every attendee must have a paid ticket to enter the seminar. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
    • We support nursing moms! You are welcome to exit the Ballroom at any time to care for your child as needed, but note no babies or small children are allowed inside the Ballroom, and the gallery area immediately outside the Ballroom is closed and kept clear for the security and safety of all our attendees.
    • Please honor your follow attendees by refraining from using items with strong scents inside the ballroom, including but not limited to perfume, aftershave, cologne, lotion, essential oils, anointing oils, etc.

Here are a few “insider” tips from our graduates to make things easier and get more results:

    • Save money and time in line by bringing lunch, several healthy snacks, and bottled water.
    • Book your return flight for the day after the event. Leaving First Steps To Success™ early is like missing the last 20 minutes of a great movie or not reading the last 10 pages of a terrific book. Take the evening to re-write your notes, socialize with new friends, get a good night’s sleep, or catch up on other work without distractions! You’ll be glad that you did.
    • Layer your clothes. Room temperature can vary drastically.
    • Your nametag is your proof of registration and is required at all times for access to the Ballroom.
    • Bring a notepad and extra pens. You don’t want your pen to run dry in the middle of receiving a powerful strategy or piece of wisdom that applies directly to you!
