We throw around the word “love” so frequently – and much too loosely! We “love” a pair of shoes, our Starbucks drink, a sport team, or celebrity. SO… we’re meant to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and resources… and yet, we “love” our TV show, phone and tools. Does that make us idolaters? We’ve so diluted the word “love,” using it so casually, when we say, “I LOVE God!” what does it actually MEAN? Do you love Him in the way He loves you, or “love” Him the way you love catching a green light driving to work? What if He asked you to do something WAAAAY outside of your comfort zone – like give up everything and everyone you love? Or, is your love LIMITED?!
